Metal pretreatment is the process of cleaning and preparing metal surfaces prior to painting. Metal pretreatment removes contaminants and increases the adhesion of paint to the metal surface.
Toran 3 is a single stage, ambient temperature pretreatment chemical, which cleans and prepares metal prior to painting. Organic solvents effectively remove contaminants from the metal surface whilst a continuous 1 micron polymeric barrier is applied, all in the same single stage. Oil removed from the surface is incorporated into the protective barrier, improving tensile strength, whilst also ensuring no sludge is created in the process. All other contaminants are simply filtered out via a filter system. Through this, parts are left protected from immediate flash rust, and, once the final coating has been applied, high levels of corrosion protection are achieved.
Yes. Both our Toran 3 and Pronortec ranges are suitable for all forms of metal, including steel, castings, aluminium and also Zintec and galvanised metal.
