We are always analysing our products and testing them, to ensure they are performing at their best. We carry out regular checks and tests, and always have up-to-date safety sheets compiling the latest data for our chemicals. You can find out more by getting in touch today.
Salt spray testing is a common method for determining the quality of protection on metal. It is an effective test whereby a salt water solution is used to create a corrosive environment and parts are assessed periodically for appearance of rust and oxides. Essentially, the longer it takes before the appearance of corrosion, the better the coating protection. Our pretreatments offer incredible results under these tests, showing how safe and long-lasting the protection really is.
We have a partnership with an independent laboratory based at the University of Warwick who routinely perform a plethora of standard corrosion protection testing such as salt spray tests, cross hatch tests, bend tests and impact resistance tests.
It sounded too good to be true, but long term trials have proved the process works
It’s the only process we’ve found that allows us to store cast steel and iron products without the worry of going rusty before assembly
We’ve seen lots of benefits – resolved storage issues, reduced utility costs, reduced water usage, carbon footprint AND our production time
The corrosion protection of Toran 3 technology is vastly superior to our previous system. Our products need to withstand harsh outdoor environments out at sea and Metavate have helped us achieve this.
We continuously test and analyse all our chemical products to ensure they meet high-performance standards. Regular in-house and independent lab testing allows us to verify effectiveness, longevity, and safety. Therefore, keeping our performance data current and dependable.
Salt spray testing simulates a corrosive environment using a salt water solution to assess how well metal coatings withstand corrosion over time. The longer a treated surface resists rust, the better the protection. Our pre-treatment products consistently achieve outstanding results in this type of testing.
Yes. We work with an independent laboratory based at the University of Warwick to carry out a wide range of tests. These include salt spray tests, cross hatch adhesion tests, bend tests, and impact resistance tests. These tests providing objective, third-party validation of product performance.
Absolutely. We maintain up-to-date safety data sheets (SDS) and performance records for all of our chemical products. If you’re looking for specific test results or documentation, simply get in touch and we’ll be happy to provide what you need.
Routine testing ensures our products continue to meet evolving industry standards, perform as expected in demanding environments, and provide long-term value. It also helps us innovate and improve formulations for even better corrosion protection and sustainability.
